In 2020, Miss Christina L. Qvam became one of those whose jobs became affected and effectively ended during the Covid pandemic. Just a shy half-year before this, however, Qvam had began looking into self-publishing. For her entire life, Qvam had harboured a dream of becoming a full-time author and with increasing insight into the self-publishing industry, she soon realised that with self-publishing as an new option for the future, it was no longer if she would become an author, but when.
At this point though, she imagined this to be several years down the road. But the pandemic wanted it differently.
With a new status as unemployed and remote working rising in popularity, Qvam decided to take the plunge and start on her own. That's when Qvamington was born.
For a year, Qvam ran Qvamington exclusively as a VA for authors and businesses in order to gain experience. Yet, at the end of it, something was out of balance and she retreated back to the drawing board. It became clear she still wasn't prioritising what mattered most: writing her books and getting them out to an audience.
Thorough autumn 2022, Qvamington went through a shift and became a self-publisher. We still offer certain author services, although our main focus is publishing new exciting novels to enthral and entertain readers everywhere.
These are penned by Christian, under her pennames* C. L. Qvam or Chase Louise, the first book published by Qvamington Press May, 2023. A penname was selected for privacy reasons, to distinguish between Qvam's business and author persona, as well as adding a layer of protection to a family member going by the same legal name.
